Sony Music Aus announces ‘Big Brother’-style talent series, The ShareSpace

Sony Music Entertainment Australia and ZigZagTV have partnered on a new talent development series that’s been pitched as a cross between Big Brother and The Voice.

Called The ShareSpace; the show is a music collaboration series, which is set to launch in October.

The ShareSpace will see eight talented individuals come together to form a creative community for a period of 30 days. During this time, they will collaborate together, creating original music-based content. Each day will see the eight individuals share their individual experiences on YouTube and TheShareSpace.com in the form of daily episodes.

Charting engagement and response, The ShareSpace will eventually deliver a winner who will receive career development support that includes a global writing and collaboration experience, in addition to a Sony Music Entertainment recording contract.

The eight individuals will be guided by a group of industry experts, along with a selection of established local and international artists, who will guide them using their valuable insight into areas such as performance, songwriting, recording, and the music industry.

Founder of ZigZagTV, Julie Ward stated, “Having been at the forefront of TV talent formats for many years, I am genuinely excited to be part of the digital evolution with such incredible partners. Together, we are creating a format that puts music collaboration at the fore, supporting a group of artists to grow their talent and fan base.”

The ShareSpace is set to launch in October, with ZigZag currently in the process of casting the eight individuals who will be taking part in the experience.
