Sony/ATV publishing artists spend entire year at Billboard Hot 100 #1
Sony/ATV music publishing has just completed a full year of its artists occupying the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart.
For 12 months, every song in the #1 spot was either published or co-published by Sony/ATV, with Drake‘s ‘Nice For What’ the latest to occupy the spot.
The year began with ‘Despacito’ by Luis Fonsi by Daddy Yankee spending 16 weeks at the top of the chart, before tracks by Taylor Swift (‘Look What You Made Me Do’) and Cardi B (‘Bodak Yellow’) would rise to the summit.
The year also included reigns by Ed Sheeran‘s ‘Perfect’, Post Malone’s ‘Rockstar’ and Camila Cabello‘s ‘Havana’.
Drake occupied the spot with ‘God’s Plan’ for 11 weeks before ‘Nice For What’ assumed the top ranking recently.
