Sons Of The East sign with Select Music: Exclusive

Sons Of The East are now members of the Select Music family.

Forming in Sydney in late 2011, the indie-folk trio are a global success story flying under many music fans’ radars.

Led by Jack Rollins (vocals/guitar), Nic Johnston (vocals/keys), and Dan Wallage (guitars), they’ve clocked up 60 million worldwide streams to-date, more than half of those accounted for by Into the Sun, lifted from their 2015 album Already Gone. The clip for Into The Sun is on fire, torching past 7 million view.

On Spotify alone, the group boasts more than 867,000 monthly listeners.

The Sons have muscled their way into the festivals scene, with slots on Lost Picnic, SXSW, Party In The Park, Lost Paradise, FOTSUN and more. And their recent It Must Be Luck tour, in support of their melodic April 2019 single, was a sell-out, filling rooms up to 1,000 on dates around the country.

It’s a similar story in Europe where the group has performed more than 60 headline shows, mostly sold out, according to Select.

At Select, Sons Of The East join a roster alongside the likes of RÜFÜS DU SOL, Amy Shark, Thelma Plum, Boy & Bear, The Temper Trap, The Jungle Giants, Skegss, imbi the girl and many others..

The group paid tribute to agent Jimmy Kleiner, who joined the company earlier this year.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be working alongside Jimmy at Select Music,” says Rollins. “The agency has done incredible work for so many Australian artists, and Jimmy is a brilliant agent and all round good guy. We can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Established in 2005 and led by Stephen Wade and Rob G, Select is recognised as one of the most successful independent Australian-owned agencies in the business.

In March 2018, co-founder and CEO Wade took out Booking Agent of the Year at the inaugural Industry Observer Awards in Sydney.

Sons Of The East will embark on another pan- European jaunt in November, an “unplugged” tour off the back of their 2019 album release Burn Right Through.
