Slowly Slowly release debut LP Chamomile
PRESS RELEASE:
So far in 2016 Slowly Slowly has brought us the broody ever building‘PMTWGR’ featuring the explosive vocals of Tom Lanyon (CERES), a gentle hook laden ballad in ‘New York Paris’ and now the Melbourne duo are set to release their best work yet with their debut LP ‘CHAMOMILE’.
Slowly Slowly puts everything on the table in this 8 track introspective body of work.In what feels like a personal memoir, Slowly Slowly tugs at the heart strings with ‘Chamomile’, will have you chowing down on pasta in Sicily in‘Deathproof’ and rocking out to ‘Hey You’, effortlessly balancing on the tightrope of rock ‘n’ roll and sentiment. Above all else ‘Chamomile’ proves without a shadow of doubt that Ben Stewart is one of the best lyricists of his generation, with lyrics like “I’ve got a backbone built like driftwood, well-travelled but you know I’m brittle” (PMTWGR) he will give you all the feels. Team this with long-time friend and collaborator Alex Quale and the result is an epic rock record.
