WMG’s Simon Cahill, Jaxsta’s Alli Galloway Confirmed for Sydney ‘Future of Music’ Panel

Warner Music Group exec Simon Cahill and Jaxsta Music’s Alli Galloway are confirmed for a special deep-dive discussion this Friday (May 27) on the tech-powered future music scene.

Cahill, WMG’s senior VP commercial, audience & media; and Galloway, Jaxsta’s head of audience & creative; are joined by Music Health, co-founder and COO Stephen Hunt; and iHUB Music Industry Accelerator co-founder Tristonne Forbes, the architect of the panel session, titled “The Future of Music Sounds Different.”

Speakers will cover all things from VR to AI and the “cutting edge of mental health technology,” reads a statement.

The session will conclude on the rooftop of co-presenter Australian Institute of Music’s (AIM) offices, with its million-dollar views of Sydney Opera House, which will be lit up for the VIVID Festival.

Guests will also enjoy performances from drummer, composer, sound designer and instrument designer Alon Ilsar, plus Ichika Asoto, the Japan-born, Sydney-based experimental electronic music composer.

The three-hour-long event starts 3pm, with tickets priced from $16.91 (for concession) to $27.46 (general admission), and coincides with the start of Vivid Sydney, which runs for 23 days.

AIM’s HQ has a series of events locked into the calendar, including the 2030 Record Launch (June 9) and the “Great American Songbook” (June 15),
