Sia’s new David Guetta team-up premieres exclusively on TikTok
TikTok continues to make big plays into the music streaming space, with the latest seeing the platform secure the exclusive premiere of a new track by Sia and David Guetta.
While TikTok has become a platform for discovery over the past 12 months, propelling many acts to mainstream radio stardom, the Bytedance-owned company is now flipping the switch and beating the more established streamers to exclusive content.
This latest tactic sees ‘Let’s Love’ by Aussie singer-songwriter Sia and French DJ Guetta available as a 15-second snippet all week on the TikTok Sounds Page.
Users are already taking advantage of the available soundbite, using it to make videos, with TikTok hoping that the snippet will be enough to build significant hype ahead of its full release on Friday, September 11.
David Guetta is already established on the platform (1.2m followers), and has started the #LetsLove hashtag challenge trending.
He previously teamed up with Sia for global hits including 2011’s ‘Titanium’ and 2018’s ‘Flames’, and Warner Music France / Parlophone are hoping this week’s tactic will propel ‘Let’s Love’ into the same category of worldwide smashes.
“I’m so happy and excited to be working with Sia again and to share this sneak preview for our fans on TikTok,” Guetta said.
“I can’t wait to see your own creations to our music. Enjoy the vibe and Let’s Love together.”
TikTok previously secured a 15-second snippet premiere of BTS single ‘On’ in February, just 12 hours ahead of the release of the track.
