Shure is set to launch a podcast mic inspired by the legendary SM7B
Shure sets the industry standard for beginners and professionals when it comes to sound quality and reliability – even amid COVID-19.
The audio products company has revealed a new podcast microphone inspired by the legendary SM7B. And with overall podcast consumption more than doubling during the global pandemic, it might be high time to launch that podcast you’ve been sitting on.
Officially launching mid-November, Shure’s new MV7 is being praised for capturing clear, high-quality audio for podcasting, gaming, recording, and live streaming at home, in the studio, or recording on the go.
The MV7’s pick-up pattern focuses solely on the vocals by bringing it to the forefront of the recording, which is great news for those recording at home or in an imperfect environment. The mic prevents any unwanted background or room noise from interrupting your sound.
With Shure now famed for offering audio products for both beginners professionals, the company has made the design simple, sleek and easy to use. Users can connect via USB or XLR and jump on board with additional control features within the ShurePlus MOTIV app, where they can control things like vocal tone and distance from the microphone.
The mic has already being labeled a “workhorse” thanks to its multiple settings to suit multiple needs relating to both set up and audio. For example, a podcaster may like to get up close and personal with the microphone, or a streamer may want a bit more breathing space – this mic offers quality sound for both options.
As far as being a one-stop-shop to record a podcast out of the box, whether you’re a podcast creator, a gamer, or a content creator streaming from home, this new mic will get you there.
