George Sheppard, one of the co-founders of the band of the same name whose new album Watching The Sky has debuted at #1 in Australia, has gone back to his acting roots.

George was trying to carve out an acting career in Sydney before the band got together in Brisbane.

Now he makes a cameo in a new Brisbane based horror-comedy series called Cursed.

It is written and directed by Connor Fairclough (Head Above Water) and produced by Tristan Barr.

Cast members include Kyle McCallion, Omar Al-Sobky, Cleo Rose Massey, Elliot Loney, Neel Kolhatkar, Mitch Wanless and Josh Wade.

The series is said to start shooting next week under Continuance Pictures.

Cursed recently landed funding of $40,000 from Screen Queensland as part of its SQ Shorts Program.

The deal included high-level mentoring and workshops to aid development and production.

Sheppard is said to be playing himself in the series, which is about a man who drunkenly curses himself and has to cope with paranormal sightings while coping with useless flatmates.

He could not be reached for comment on what exactly his role will be in the six-part series of 20 minutes each, and how he landed the role.

Reports say that once filming wraps up on the series, it will be pitched to a streaming services like Netflix, Stan and Amazon although the ABC and Comedy Central have already expressed interest.
