Second suspect arrested in XXXTentacion slaying
A second suspect in the June slaying of Florida rapper XXXTentacion has been charged, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said in a media release.
Michael Boatwright, 22, is facing first-degree murder charges.
He was initially arrested last week on an unrelated drug charge and already incarcerated in the Broward Main Jail.
Dedrick Williams, 22, was charged earlier over the killing outside a Deerfield Beach motorcycle shop.
He has pleaded not guilty.
A third man, Robert Allen, also 22, is also a “person of interest” in the case.
He is already wanted in the county on a felony warrant for violation of probation for possession of the drug flakka and carrying a concealed firearm.
Florida authorities suggest that robbery was the motive of the 20-year-old rapper’s killing.
It is possible that they saw the rapper arrive in the store’s car park in an expensive new BMW and perhaps go to an ATM before entering the store.
Among the memorials held around the world was one in Florida held at a 20,000-seat auditorium.
