Houston rapper Riff Raff has denied rape allegations by a Melbourne woman.
It saw the abrupt cancellation this month of his Australian and New Zealand tour by promoter Audipaxx and the venues involved.
A second woman in America alleged he had inappropriately groped her when she was 17.
Immediately after, Riff Raff had taken to Instagram to reject the allegations as “lies”.
Now he’s taken to Instagram with a longer post, this time filmed with entertainment lawyer and film director Sarah B. Downey.
“Never once have I forced a girl to have sex. Never once have I forced a girl to do any type of drugs.
“I don’t want to have a girl drunk and sleepy,” he says.
Downey adds, “The so-called victims are becoming the bullies.”
The post’s caption suggests that the clip is from a 13-minute film called Trial By Media.
Riff Raff says the film is “about how false allegations are the new easy wave [sic] for people to lie and quickly get their name in the media by using bloodthirsty copy and paste lazy journalist [sic] at the expense of actual artists, athletes and high profile ‘easy target party moguls’.”
It continues: “Don’t ever be afraid to stand up for yourself against lies. Full 13-minute interview with multi-million dollar movie director and entertainment lawyer coming soon worldwide.”
On May 31, Melbourne woman Eliza Stafford posted on Facebook that she had been drugged and raped in 2013, when she was 19, after she had been invited backstage.
She said had been fed a drink and, piecing what happened from other girls backstage, been dragged into a car.
She woke up to find him pulling out of her in his hotel room.
The second woman Kelsey Doucette said that her incident took place during the Milwaukee stop of Warped Tour in July 2015 when he pressurised her to have sex.
