REVEALED: The 100 most streamed Australian songs on Apple Music
Apple Music is dishing out the goods this Easter.
Following the announcement that the streaming giant has established a $50 million advance fund to help out independent labels and distributors in these tough times, Apple Music has launched a “Stream Local” feature.
To get us supporting Australian music all through the Easter Long Weekend, Apple Music has put local artists centre stage with a takeover of the main browse page, kicking off tomorrow.
“Stream Local” includes the 100 Most Streamed Australian Songs playlist which counts down the most streamed Aussie songs since the launch of Apple Music in 2015.
Revealed today, global exports and recent chart toppers 5 Seconds Of Summer top the list with their track ‘Youngblood’. The group have five tracks in the Top 100, alongside Amy Shark, Dean Lewis, Hilltop Hoods, Peking Duk and Vance Joy, who also received five nods each.
Elsewhere, Angus and Julia Stone, Chet Faker, Conrad Sewell, Hayden James, Jessica Mauboy, Morgan Evans and The Rubens all have two songs each in the Top 100 list.
