Request Artists set to change the way DJs are booked
A new booking platform aimed at making it easier to book Australia’s biggest and best DJs has launched in Australia.
Request Artists is the brainchild of Aussie DJ and Vicious Recordings John Course, professional marketing leader John Curtin, and 25+ year industry veteran Piero Giovannini.
The new platform brings together a marketplace of bookable DJs for private events, simplifying what has previously been a difficult and often time-consuming process of securing quality talent to soundtrack any event.
Built in conjunction with bookers, DJs, event consultants and previous customers, Request Artists is set to revolutionise the booking process with a specialised and more detailed search functionality for users.
The idea for Request Artists spawned of John Course enduring years of bring asked to perform at private events as a DJ, which lead to a logical thought: what if he applied a booking agency model within a scope specifically for DJs for regularly play clubs.
“The search options within the site are really awesome and one of our key differences to other services. You don’t need to use them, but if you want a DJ from a certain club you go to (or used to, go to), or if you want a more specialist music direction, both filters are great tools,” Course says.
There are already 35 of the best DJs and vocalists from around Australia on the platform.
The Request Artists platform took 12 months to build, and utilizes Australian SAAS such as Qwilr, XERO and other programs.
“We are really excited to connect some of Australia’s biggest and emerging artists to corporate events and special occasions such as: weddings, engagements, 30ths, sporting events, large scale venues, product and store launches,” said John Curtin.
“We can make the process so easy with a fantastic website, artists and can also organize staging and Sound/AV for your event.”
Partnering with Piero Giovannini’s company Nightgrooves also allows Request Artists to also offer sound, audio visual, staging and other specialty hire requirements.
