Remote Control Records announce “future-facing” label b4

Melbourne-based Remote Control Records has announced a brand new label called b4 and its first release by rapper HAWA.

The 17-year-old New York rapper’s debut single ‘Might Be’ is released through the new “future-facing” label.

Remote Control is calling b4 “an incubator for tomorrow’s most relevant artists.

“The music on b4 is a reflection of the genre-smashing landscape, where prior categories no longer apply,” said the label in a statement.

The track also features vocals by Brooklyn producer and singer-songwriter Tony Seltzer.

Remote Control Records was established in 2001 by Steve Cross and Harvey Saward and provides publicity, label management, distribution and marketing services to international and local artists and labels.

It represents numerous international record labels in the Australian market, with a roster of international artists including Adele, Queens of the Stone Age, The xxVampire Weekend, Radiohead and the National.
