Radio ratings: FOX FM on top in Melbourne again; smoothFM rules Sydney
Today’s radio ratings saw Fox FM jump to the top in Melbourne again, while smoothFM holds onto its dominance in Sydney.
Kyle and Jackie’s O’s breakfast show on KIIS continues to rule Sydney airwaves, with a 9.7% market share, but it’s Byron Webb on drive for smoothFM with 12.4% that’s making the difference. Or maybe Sydney just wants radio to relax them in this current climate. Who’s gonna drive you home, Sydney?
In Brisbane, NOVA have claimed 15.8% of the market, sweeping all stations in breakfast, and drive.
Mix remains the #1 FM station in Adelaide with 12.1% audience share, while Fiveaa takes over top spot on the AM dial from ABC Radio, 1.2% ahead of them this survey. The two stations have been battling it out in recent surveys; as with Sydney’s FM battle, it’s their drive-time dominance making the big difference.
In Perth, Mix remains the number 1 FM station overall, but Nova have taken top spot in both breakfast and drive, suggesting that Mix might not be on top for too much longer.
