PPCA and Australia Council partners for new round of grants

Charts & Music Manager

PPCA and the Australia Council have partnered yet again to offer a series of $15,000 grants to assist Australian artists wanting to record.

Last year, the partnership’s inaugural year, they offered grants to Australian artists Courtney Barnett, The Grigoryan Brothers and Lance Ferguson just to name a few.

PPCA Chief Executive Officer Dan Rosen said: “We are really pleased to be able to offer these grants again, and contribute to the diversity of Australian music. The response to last year’s initiative was incredibly strong and a great indication of the quality of our recording artists. We look forward to working with the Australia Council again to help more local artists realise their musical ambition.”

Andy Rantzen, the Acting Director Of Music at Australia Council commented: “We’re delighted to partner again with the PPCA on this initiative. These grants provide a much needed opportunity for Australian musicians, and this partnership enables us to support the recording of new, high quality Australian work.”

Artists looking to cover the cost of recording their work can apply for a recording grant HERE.

Applications are now open and will close on November 25.
