Post Malone equals ARIA Singles Chart records for most debuts and most tracks in the Top 50
Irresistible force Post Malone continues to see music history, and this week equalled two more ARIA chart records.
Off the back of the release of his second album beerbongs & bentleys Malone equals Ed Sheeran‘s record (set in March last year) for most debuts on the ARIA Singles Chart with 13.
He also equals the records set for most tracks in the Top 50 at once time, previously set by Michael Jackson in July 2009.
The 22-year-old US artist has now debuted at #1 on the national album chart of 10 countries so far, in the UK, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zeland, Norway and Sweden.
News also came overnight that beerbongs & bentleys had broken the US streaming record for most streams in a week.
The indomitable Malone also set the record for most first day streams on Spotify both in the US and globally on the day of the record’s release.
Earlier this year, TMN took Hot 100 and Shazam Chart data into how Post Malone’s single ‘rockstar’ propelled the rapper to the peak of mainstream music culture.
