Poppy Rose inks global publishing deal
Dew Process Publishing has today announced the signing of the up-and-coming artist Poppy Rose.
The Melbourne-based emcee is no stranger to pushing boundaries and has even caught the eye of none other than Australian hip hop icon 360, who praised her “promise and potential as an artist and songwriter”, declaring her as an “artist to watch”.
Renowned for her raw storytelling following the release of her debut single ‘Ocean’ in 2017, no issue is too taboo as she couples her distinct, melodic flow with lyrics covering mental health and the perception of women in music.
Fergus Jenkins, General Manager for Dew Process, commended her as a “formidable talent who genuinely wears her heart on her sleeve and tells the story she lives”.
Poppy Rose joins Dew Process’s publishing arm alongside Evan Klar, LK McKay, Last Dinosaurs, Emerson Leif, Joshua Crispin (Composer), and Darren Middleton, among others.
In July, Poppy Rose shared the studio with the likes of Cam Bluff (Allday, Amy Shark) and Warryn Campbell (Alicia Keys, Missy Elliot) at APRA AMCOS’ SongHubs Victoria songwriting camp.
The announcement comes as the video for her latest track ‘Lost’ drops.
