PIAS’ iconic electronic label Different is relaunched

After a 3 year hiatus, the Different Recordings imprint is reborn. [PIAS]’s own electronic imprint is back witha family of new singings for 2015. It’s the start of a new erafor Different, as the label looks to champion a fresh crop of forward thinking, electronic artists.

Previously, the label hasbeen responsible for releasing some seminal dance records; game changers like Etienne De Crecy’s original SuperDiscountandVitalic’s massively influential OK Cowboy. There’s been important records from Tiga, Crystal Castles,Agoria, Crystal Fighters, The Hacker and more. It’s a label which has been involved in culturally important electronic music since its inception, and in the process has been the soundtrack to countless late nights all over the world.

Different has always been at the forefront ofnew music and atits most successful when it has been at its most relevant. So this isDifferent, but a new, reinvigorated Different. A fresh approach for now, once again nurturingnew and innovative electronic music.

Whilst the new Different is proud of its roots in club music, it will be equally concerned with making music that sounds as good on the train as it does on the dancefloor. The label willwork with exciting, progressive album artists, across of a range of musical styles, all tied together under a simple ethos; forward thinking electronicmusic.
