Perth electro duo Feels dominated last night’s WAMAwards with three wins.

Classically trained percussionists Elise Reitze-Swensen and Rosie Taylor took best electronic producer and best live electronic act, while their WMPP (Women Of Music Production Perth) picked up label of the year.

Before the awards, Taylor said, “We are primarily performers, and our live set has evolved over the past 12 months, so we’d be over the moon to win best live electronic act.”

The act is currently vibe-ing with its double singles ‘Assemble (feat. ZĀN)’ and ‘Binary Bounce’, and earlier this year collaborated with Stella Donnelly on ‘They Need Us’ about the importance of women in the music industry.

Double winners at the sold out event at the Hyatt Regency were Alana Macpherson, radio broadcaster Caitlin Nienaber, Carla Geneve (who had lead the nominations with seven), Jacob Diamond, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and Odette Mercy.

Former RTRFM breakfast host Caitlin Nienaber returned from the East Coast, where she now works for the ABC, to collect her trophies for the prestigious Golden WAMi and industry representative of the year.

Inducted into the Hall of Fame were music industry veteran Dixie Battersby (currently DB Publicity) and The Stems.

Mojos Bar won most popular venue for the fifth time in a row.

Performing last night were The Stems, award winners Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse, Carla Geneve, Hyclass and award nominees Gemma Farrell Quintet, Your Girl Pho and Ralway Bell.

The WAM Awards kicked off the WAMFest Live which begins today featuring 200 acts showcasing across Perth City and Northbridge and WAMCon 2018.
