Pandora, Double J, Amrap reps headed to intune music conference

Australian music industry are heading to Darwin to share their knowledge and insights with Territory artists at the annual intune music conference in June.intune is an annual music conference that provides Territory musicians with the opportunity to learn from experts in the field, showcase their music and network with music industry heavyweights.

This year the conference will be held in Darwin and will focus specifically on helping artists develop practical toolkits for taking their music career to the next level and sharing their work with a national audience. intune darwin provides local artists, from emerging to established, with the opportunity to ask questions about their music aspirations in an intimate space. It allows musicians to get up close and personal with national organisations like AMRAP, Double J, Media Arts Lawyers and Sounds Australia to find out how they can support their musicalendeavours.

Collectively the intune darwin speakers have 100+ years of music industry experience.

The first round of speakers include:

  • Myf Warhurst (double J)
  • Sarah Hamilton (Ditto)
  • Hazel Savage (Pandora)
  • Chris Johnson (AMRAP)
  • Glenn Dickie (Sounds Australia)
  • Stephen King (Media Arts Lawyers and INK Publishing)
  • Vanessa Picken (Comes with Fries)

MusicNT Executive Director Mark Smith said this year’s conference focus responds directly to the current state of Territory music. “More artists than ever before are recording, producing and sharing incredible music in the Territory. This year we want intune to focus on helping these artists take their music to a national and international audience. We have representatives from leading radio stations, music distribution platforms and promotion agencies. It’s an exciting program and Territory musicians will have the opportunity to engage directly with some of the biggest names in the Australian music industry. They will also have the opportunity to showcase their music too!”

Musicians from all corners of the NT are encouraged to attend, with showcase opportunities available to all artists (no matter what part of the Territory they are from). intune liveprovides musicians with a platform to perform their music and receive direct feedback from industry representatives.
