O’Shea to host 46th Annual Toyota Golden Guitar Awards

Tamworth Regional Council and the Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA) today announced Nashville-based Aussie duo O’Shea has hosts of the 46th Annual Country Music Awards of Australia.

Also known as The Toyota Golden Guitar Awards, husband/wife duoMark and Jay O’Shea will descend on Tamworth on January 27 next year for their hosting duties.

The 2018 event will also feature a theme celebrating the strong collaborative nature of country music.

“Mark and I are both honoured and excited to be asked to host the awards!” said Jay.

“I have no idea who the winners are, but my early predictions are more frock changes, fake eye lashes and happy tears than ever before… and that’s just from Jay!” added Mark.

Toyota Golden Guitar Awards executive director Peter Ross is excited to see the duo back in Australia for the event.

“This year’s Golden Guitar Awards is shaping up to be a powerful night of entertainment featuring the best of Australian country music talent and the songs that have left their mark on fans over the past 12 months, and we are so pleased to have O’Shea coming back to Australia to host the Awards in 2018,”Ross said.

The awards will be held as part of The Toyota Country Music Festival, from Friday January 19 to 28, with the 46th Toyota Golden Guitar Awards going down at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre on Saturday January 27.
