Australian hardcore veterans The Butterfly Effect and up-and-coming Sydney rockers Reliqa have joined the management roster at Open Door Management.
The Butterfly Effect, who initially formed in 1999 and reunited with one another in 2017, said that they “couldn’t be any more excited” to join the Open Door Management roster and are looking forward to a massive 2022.
“Our bodies might have gotten soft but our riffs certainly haven’t,” they added.
The Butterfly Effect’s sentiments were echoed by Reliqa.
“In the short time since our signing, Chris and Josh have already shown us incredible amounts of enthusiasm and dedication,” the band commented.
“Not only has it been invaluable to have their knowledge and experience on our side, but it’s clear that they’re as excited for Reliqa’s future as we are. We’re beyond proud to be part of the Open Door family and we’ve got our sights set on some great developments to come.”
Founded in 2019 by Destroy All Lines’ general manager of touring Chris O’Brien and Northlane guitarist Josh Smith, Open Door Management currently represents a number of prominent Australian alternative and heavy acts, including Northlane, Make Them Suffer, Void Of Vision and Windwaker.
Smith said he and O’Brien are thrilled to be expanding their roster with more brilliant artists.
“Reliqa are an incredibly hard working and promising young act. The Butterfly Effect needs no introduction, and we are eagerly waiting what they have up their sleeve.”
