Deja Vu

(SME) Out June 12

The pioneer of disco and EDM, Giorgio Moroder sees his first solo album in 30 years, Déjà vu released tomorrow. The 75-year-old songwriter and producer has worked on hits with Donna Summer, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie and countless other influential musicians over the years. Déjà vu, due for release on June 12, has an impressive list of features as well as collaborators including Sia, Charli XCX, Mikky Ekko, Australia's own Kylie Minogue, Matthew Koma, Foxes, Kelis, Marlene and Britney Spears.

This album is set to solidify Moroder’s return to contemporary music, which started in 2013 with his contribution to Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories. Moroder is still likely fresh in Australia’s memory after recently accompanying Kylie Minogue on herKiss Me Once tour. Two singles thus far have been taken from the album to radio, Right Here, Right Now featuring Kylie Minogue and title track Déjà vu featuring Sia.

Texan country sweet heart Kacey Musgraves is set to have her second studio album Pageant Material released on June 26. The album is the follow up to US Gold-selling and Grammy award winning album Same Trailer,Different Park. With a little push, this album could easily prove to be her most successful in Australia yet. In the lead up to the release of the album, Musgraves has performed singles on popular talk shows The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Nights With Seth Meyers. The album is co-produced by Musgraves herself, Shane McAnally (Kelly Clarkson, Lad Antebellum) and Luke Laird (Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton), both decorated songwriters and producers. Locally she’s seen some chart success with the single Follow Your Arrow peaking at #16 on the TMN Country airplay chart in April of last year.
