In the past week, two-thirds of the 92.9 breakfast show in Perth, Lisa Fernandez and Paul Hogan announced their departures.

Then the news came through that Triple M’s drive show Merrick & The Highway Patrol won’t be continuing into 2014.

Little said: “Meshel Laurie is one of the funniest people in the country and sure I already love making funny TV with her so radio will be exactly the same, except hopefully I will be wearing less makeup.”

Laurie commented: “I have a lot to learn from Tommy Little, mainly about Snapchat, herbal tea and girls. I look forward to the process.” READ MORE

After 2 years on Triple M drive, Merrick Watts, Julian Schiller and Rachel Corbett will finish up at the end of 2013.

Head of Triple M, Mike Fitzpatrick said: “We’ve made some successful changes to the Triple M network this year and now we’re going to build on those changes by creating a real alternative to the drive time line-ups across the country.

“While we are excited by the prospect of creating something new and different in drive next year, we are sad to be saying goodbye to Mez, Jules and Rach who are hard-working talent and much loved.”

Watts said, “I have enjoyed every second of the last two years on air with Rachel and Jules, it is disappointing that it will be coming to an end but I am planning to make the most of the next couple of months together on air.”
