triple j’s Music DirectorRichard Kingsmillsaid:“Talk Is Cheap dropped right at the start of 2014. By year’s end, it was still sounding as fresh as the first day we played it. Chet played and produced the whole album himself (bar one guitar solo). The way the sax starts the song is just magical and sucks you right in. The song sounds simple, until you hear all the instruments and voices at work. You’re kept there right until the end, when Chet Faker’s layered vocals bring the song to a fitting close.”

According to ticket marketplace Viagogo,Buzzfeed’s campaign to push Taylor Swift into the list boosted sales last week. The #Tay4Hottest100campaign caused demand forTaylor Swift’s 2015 tour to almost doublethe week ofJanuary 19,compared to sales in previous weeks.Demand for Chet Faker’s tour in February and March also spiked yesterday – ticket sales were2.7 times higher than average for a single day, andFoo Fighters (who ranked at #84 with Something From Nothing) spiked approximately 40% yesterday over and above previous demand.

ARN launches new Drive lineups

Today sees the launch of the new national drive show of "Hughesy & Kate" across the KIIS network from 4pm.

Speaking of the launch, Hughesy commented;“I can’t wait to get back on air with Kate, she is a great friend and we always have a lot of fun together on our shows.

“It’s going to be a big year and what better time to start than right after Australia Day when everyone needs a laugh again because we all know the working year really starts now.”

Kate added; “I’m really looking forward to working the drive shift with Hughesy, it’s always such a joy working with him and it’s going to be great to be sharing our show with a national audience. Work aside, I can't wait to see what my husband's made for dinner… Will it be KFC or McDonalds?”

And with the departure of Chrissie Swan from the network, the 3pm Pickup across the network will also have new hosts.

Former Nova Sydney Breakfast, and national Nova Drive, co-host Katie ‘Monty’ Dimond, along with Zoe Marshall, will be the new hosts of the 3pm Pickup.

In addition to her time with Nova, "Monty" has appeared on The Project, The Today Show, as well as filling in with ARN. She also founded the female-focused website "Show & Tell".

Zoe Marshall has co-hosted Mornings on Channel 7, and appears as one of "Kochies Angels" on the Sunrise program.

ARN’s National Content Director, Duncan Campbell said he was pleased to see all on-air teams in place for 2015: “It’s fantastic to see all the shows now on air. It’s going to be an exciting and competitive year for radio, particularly in Sydney and Melbourne, and now that Hughesy & Kate and The 3PM Pick Up With Monty & Zoe are on air to join our Breakfast Shows, it really feels like the year has begun for us.

“Hughesy & Kate are exceptionally talented and loved by their loyal audience, so I can’t wait to see what they bring to ARN’s national drive slot, and the new team of Monty & Zoe is going to bring a fresh new energy to our very popular 3PM Pick Up show."
