On The Dial: ARN steps up iHeartRadio brand; More Changes for SA FM; DMG appoints new MD
ARN steps up the iHeartRadio brand
ARN continues to step up the iHeartRadio brand as the group announced the line-up for the 2014 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
The festival in September will feature Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Usher, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Mötley Crüe, Zac Brown Band, One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Paramore, Iggy Azalea, Train, Eric Church, Lorde, Calvin Harris, Bastille, as well as other surprise special guests and collaborations.
Also over the weekend the ARN delivered the third iHeartRadio LIVE event for 2014 with Lily Allen performing an intimate concert for 60 fans and media at Sydney’s Marquee at The Star. It follows on from Kylie Minogue and Ed Sheeran earlier this year.
More Changes for SA FM Breakfast
Ryan “Burgo” Burgess was removed from the SAFM breakfast show Thursday. Now the show will focus on the remaining members, former Big Brother Michael Beveridge and Hayley Pearson.
Speaking about the change, Head of Content for Southern Cross Austereo Craig Bruce said:
“We felt as though there was an opportunity for us to focus more on Michael and Hayley and to clean out the sound of the show.
“The research we have on Michael and Hayley is very strong, despite what the GFK number looks like – there’s a lot of good positive commentary around them, broadly from the market and we thought that was the best approach to simplify the show and focus more on them.”
Dean Buchanan appointed New Managing Director
