Nine of Chris Cornell’s albums will be in the ARIA Top 50 next week
Following the tragic news of Chris Cornell’s passing last week, fans have chosen to mourn the musician the best way possible – by enjoying his music.
Seven of his albums will re-enter the ARIA Albums chart this week, with two debuting in the Top 50 for the first time.
Soundgarden’s most-known album, 1994’s Superunknown will re-enter the Top 5 in this week’s ARIA Albums chart, while Audioslave’s self-titled debut will re-enter the Top 10.
Elsewhere Cornell’s Songbook will debut in the Top 20, while Soundgarden’s King Animal and Badmotorfinger will enter the Top 30 – the first chart entry for Badmotorfinger.
Lower down in the charts we will see Soundgarden’s A-Sides collection, Audioslave’s Out Of Exile and Revelations, and Cornell’s Higher Truth.
The massive love for Cornell will also be reflected on the ARIA Singles chart, with ‘Black Hole Sun’ looking to re-enter the Top 40.
The chart comes out on Saturday night, at 6pm.
