Sydney Summertime Announces All-Ages Show for The Strokes
The Strokes' Sydney Summertime show will be open to all ages as the band draws renewed interest from Gen Z audiences.

The Strokes' Sydney Summertime show will be open to all ages, promoters have announced this week.
Promoters said feedback from younger fans pushed the decision, which comes as the US giants celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Is This It.
Sydney Summertime worked with Secret Sounds, Live Nation and relevant event authorities to make the change.
Jessica Ducrou, Sydney Summertime co-founder, said: “In good news and for all those who have asked, we now have approval to allow all ages to The Strokes Sydney Summertime show. 12 years and under are free, 13 to 17 years can purchase a youth ticket!”
Children aged 12 and under can attend for free, while fans aged 13 to 17 can purchase a youth ticket. All patrons under 18 must attend with a responsible adult.
The Strokes will headline the inaugural Sydney Summertime concert series, where they'll be joined by Grammy Award-winning musician Beck, Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett, who recently returned with her new album Creature of Habit, and Promiseland, the project of Johann Rashid, who is signed to Julian Casablancas’ Cult Records.
Sydney Summertime will mark the final stop of the New York indie-rock band’s Australian tour of their seventh studio album, Reality Awaits. It will also be their only Sydney performance and only outdoor headline show of the national run.

Reporting from inside the Australian music business since '94.
Barnett and Promiseland will also support The Strokes at their Brisbane and Melbourne shows, while Beck will join the lineup exclusively in Sydney.
“As long-time fans of The Strokes, we couldn’t be more excited that they’re the first headliner announced for Sydney Summertime,” Black Peach founders and Sydney Summertime directors Jessica Ducrou and Elise Huntley said.
“They’re such an iconic live band and the perfect way to kick things off. We can’t wait to see them take over Centennial Park, along with Beck, Courtney Barnett and Promiseland.”
Further Sydney Summertime headliners will be announced in the coming months.
