Exclusive: Guvera inks deal with Asia’s Next Top Model
Guvera has inked a partnership with Asia’s Next Top Model and FOX Network’s entertainment channel StarWorld, TMN can exclusively reveal to Australian audiences.
The commercially-funded, Gold Coast-based streaming service featured in episode 9 of the show’s latest season where they curated the runway music. Guvera also partnered with music identification service Shazam to make all the show’s advertisements and vignettes ’Shazam-able’.
Kicking off yesterday, Guvera’s ‘Shazamable’ TV commercial on the reality TV show will enable viewers who Shazam the TVC to directly access the Asia’s Next Top Model (AsNTM) brand channel on Guvera. Once Shazam’s technology matches the acoustic fingerprint of the audio with its back-end database the Guvera spots using the app will automatically direct users to the AsNTM Guvera branded content. Fans across Southeast Asia can participate in Guvera’s Strut & Win contest and stream a collection of runway music from around the globe.
Hazel Savage, Head of Marketing, Guvera Asia said the partnership is in line with Guvera’s commitment to deliver new experiences to its users.
“We understand how big a role music plays in people’s lifestyles, and being passionate about music ourselves, we wanted to highlight the importance of music in places we don’t think twice about, such as the fashion industry,” said Savage. “We are also excited to offer fans of AsNTM a destination on our app where they can access great content and everything they need to know about the show.”
Guvera boasts 4 million members across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong, where the reality show is broadcasted. Meanwhile, Shazam has been downloaded more than 15 million times in the markets in which the Shazam-enabled spots will run.

In March Guvera announced its integration with Apple TV allowing users to stream their music through their television sets. It became one of the first brand-funded music streaming companies to do so.
Guvera hosts 30 million songs and of its 15 million users, 3.9 million are in South East Asia and 1.5 million are said to be in Australia.
