New World Artists (NWA), the independent booking agency for Daniel Johns, Tina Arena, Allday and Northlane among others, has expanded to Brisbane.
NWA has appointed Brisbane-based manager and booker Dominic Miller to expand the company’s footprint across three states.
In hiring Miller, NWA becomes the first major agency to appoint a Brisbane-based agent working at a national level.

Miller has inked five artists to the NWA stable. Brisbane acts Babaganouj and Good Boy, along with Sydney’s Caitlin Park officially join the roster today. Meanwhile, Newcastle garage punks These New South Whales and Melbourne’s The Outdoor Typejoined the rosterearlier this month.
Miller will continue to book treasured Brisbane live venues The Zoo and Black Bear Lodge while simultaneously building NWA’s roster.
“Live music has always been my absolute passion and New World Artists are truly dedicated to their artists,” said Miller in a statement. “The ethos of the business matches my artist-focused approach, so naturally I answered the call with appropriate enthusiasm. Let’s do this!”
Miller’s appointment brings the NWA staff count to six. Owen Orford, Julia Davis, Edwin Tehrani and Pat Davis-Meehan work from Sydney, while Tom Johannesen is based in Melbourne.
Managing Agent Owen Orford said: “Our expansion into Brisbane shows our commitment to the growing city and will not only allow us to be first to find up and coming talent, but will also give us unparalleled ‘eyes and ears’ on the ground which will benefit our entire roster.”
