Introducing new Aussie touring & events agency LOST MOTEL
Sophie Kirov and Yasmin Massey have teamed up to launch a new multi-service agency called LOST MOTEL.
Byron Bay-based Kirov has worked as an international tour manager, event producer, promoter rep and festival artist relations manager, for clients including Chugg Entertainment, Flight Facilities, Live Nation Australia, Matt Corby, Big Pineapple Festival and more.
NZ-born Massey, who is now based in LA, has worked in similar roles, with clients including DMA’s, Future Classic, G Flip, Touch Sensitive, Rhythm & Vines, RL Grime and others.
LOST MOTEL is set to assist artists with all facts of the touring cycle, from routing to budgets, show design to crewing, production, logistics, schedules and tour admin.
Kirov and Massey have over 20 years of combined industry experience and were inspired to create the new venture by a love of the industry and a common goal to improve the way musicians and festivals do business.
“We strive to create holistic touring and festival spaces for our clients, focusing on sustainability across the key pillars of physical and mental health, environment and financial feasibility,” said Kirov.
“We pride ourselves on the idea that we have stood in the shoes of the people we’re now engaged by,” added Massey.
“We aim to predict the needs of those around us and build shows that we ourselves want to be a part of and are proud to deliver to our colleagues.”
LOST MOTEL will work with promoters to deliver comprehensive artist liaison and backstage experiences of the highest international standard.
“We couldn’t be more excited about the launch of LOST MOTEL. Our aim is to create an environment where our clients and staff are able to create, grow and reach their full potential.”
Kirov will continue to work with her entertainment business Badlands Group in addition to the new venture.
