Neil Finn signs exclusive global publishing agreement with BMG

The legendary Neil Finn has signed an exclusive global publishing agreement with BMG. The deal will include Finn’s expansive catalogue in its entirety, including his work with Crowded House and Split Enz.

“I am excited to sign my publishing with BMG, as the people I’ve met there are genuine music enthusiasts and have an affection for my songs which I know is real,” Finn shared in a statement. “They are a dynamic and ambitious company on a creative roll themselves.”

Finn’s illustrious career has spanned over decades. First emerging in the late 70s with influential New Zealand ratbags Split Enz — a group co-founded with his brother Tim Finn — the band produced a flurry of hits including ‘I Got You’, ‘Message To My Girl’, and ‘Six Months In A Leaky Boat’. The band released seven albums before they called it quits in 1985.  Following the demise of Split Enz, Finn went on to found the seminal Crowded House, acting as the iconic group’s principal songwriter and frontman.

“Neil Finn is undeniably one of the finest songwriters of all time and the entire global team at BMG is honoured to be working with an artist of such exceptional calibre,” shares Heath Johns, Managing Director of BMG Australia. “We look forward to working alongside Neil and his team to not only further build on the legacy of his legendary catalogue but also create a new musical chapter with his incredible new songs.”
