Need $15,000 to record your next musical masterpiece?
PPCA and the Australia Council have announced they will be offering another series of $15,000 grants, to assist Australian artists with new sound recordings.
The successful applicants of the 2016 grants included: Martha Marlow, Barney McAll, Robbie Miller, Sophie Payten, Sean Congues and Johnny Mackay from Children Collide, who have all used their funds to record new projects.
Dan Rosen, PPCA Chief Executive Officer said “We are really pleased to be able to offer these grants again, and contribute to the diversity of Australian music. The response to last year’s initiative was incredibly strong and a great indication of the quality of our recording artists.
“We look forward to working with the Australia Council again to help more local artists realise their musical ambition.”
