MusicNT lands Plus1 Campaign, needs to raise $50K

MusicNT are thrilled to announce that it was successful in the latest round of the Plus1 initiative. This means that every dollar it raises before May 28 will be matched by Creative Partnerships Australia's Plus1 Program to help remote Australians realise their musical dreams.

MusicNT need to raise $50,000 by May 28 to have the funding matched through Plus1.

So, MusicNT need your help. It is crowdfunding throughchuffed.org, as well as seeking business sponsorship. MusicNT is a Charitable Organisation, and anything you donate throughchuffed.orgis Tax Deductible, and will be going directly towards supporting real outcomes for NT artists.

MusicNT will be using the matched Plus1 funding to employa Development Manager, that is, someone who can continue our fundraising and look after the people and businesses who support MusicNT. This is a very important position that will mean thatMusicNT's team can actually focus on delivering programs long into the future.

The Northern Territory is a tough place to be a performing artist. The distances to travel are huge, and the cost of living is high. But it is also amazingly rich in culture, and a breeding ground for incredibly talented and, due to the isolation, incredibly unique artists.

MusicNT ‘supports the growth and development of original contemporary music in the Territory’. In other words, it is the interface between geographically and often socially disadvantaged artists and the rest of the world. We help remote and isolated Australians realise their musical dreams and creative career aspirations. In doing so it is impacting on the health and wellbeing of entire communities, and promoting what we think is some of the best music in Australia.
