Mushroom Management Signs Conrad Sewell
Conrad Sewell is the latest addition to the Mushroom Management roster.
The 34-year-old Brisbane singer and songwriter has collected No. 1s and numerous awards across his career, and featured on Kygo’s Billboard Hot 100 hit “Firestone,” which is RIAA platinum certified and has accumulated upwards of 1 billion streams.
“We could not be happier to have Conrad Sewell join the Mushroom Management family,” comments Mushroom Group CEO Matt Gudinski in a statement.
“I have worked with Conrad as his promoter for some time and have and am now pleased we can partner in a deeper way together in this next chapter of his career.”
At Mushroom Management, Sewell joins a growing stable that includes Bliss n Eso, merci, mercy, Dom Littrich, plus Tkay Maidza (Foreign Echo/Mushroom Management), Skin On Skin (Foreign Echo/Mushroom Management) and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever (Converge Management/Mushroom Management) and others.
Mushroom Group formally launched its specialist management division in late February, spearheaded by Gudinski and company veteran Sarah Donelly, and featuring an initial roster of nearly 50 artists, producers, musicians, songwriters and content creators.
Mushroom Management showcased some of its hot acts with an official showcase at Bigsound.
“Very excited to be officially represented by Mushroom Management,” comments Sewell. “I’m super excited for this next chapter in my career and having the support from such a powerhouse and iconic company behind me means the world.”
Sewell got his career away to hot start with “Start Again,” his second single, which hit No. 1 on the ARIA Chart and went on to win the ARIA Award for the fan-voted song of the year.
He’s gearing up for Precious, the follow-up to his debut 2019 album Life, which opened at No. 1 on the ARIA Chart, and collected a Queensland Music Award for highest selling album.
Led by singles “God Save The Queen” and “Make Me A Believer,” Precious is set for release early 2023, through Sony Music.
