Murray Curnow launches new artist management agency, hat.

Music management stalwart Murray Curnow has announced the launch of his latest artist management venture, hat. management.

Kicking off with a roster of acts that includes Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Dulcie, People Taking Pictures and Lily Denning, hat. will operate across both Western Australia and London after Curnow found himself “stuck” in Perth during the pandemic.

The launch of hat. follows on from Curnow’s decade-long stint working with Wildlife Entertainment, where he spent time working alongside UK rock duo Royal Blood on their three #1 charting releases.

Curnow has also previously worked on a number of Arctic Monkeys campaigns and has assisted with touring and release cycles for The Last Shadow Puppets, Travis and Miles Kane, among others.

Since relocating to Perth last year, Curnow has proven pivotal to the rise of Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, driving the band’s growth off the back of their latest album SHYGA! The Sunlight Mound. 

Curnow expressed his excitement at the prospect of delving further into Australia’s music scene, noting the potential for local acts to take it to the world stage.

“After 12 years at Wildlife Entertainment, this is a brand new chapter for me,” Curnow said.

“The Australian music scene is a hotbed of new talent that has huge potential not just domestically but globally. I’m excited to be branching out with a fantastic roster of artists and continuing to work on their respective journeys within the music industry.”
