MTV celebrates 40th anniversary with Cotton On merchandise
MTV has launched an exclusive merchandise collection with the Cotton On Group to celebrate four decades of the iconic brand.
The collaboration features over 50 merch items across the retailer’s product range, with the collection being made available at Cotton On, Factorie, Rubi and Typo stores.
The collection will span Cotton On Group’s women’s and men’s lines, with outerwear, loungewear, headwear, sleep, accessories and stationery being included in the capsule to celebrate the cultural impact of the media network.
Mark Kingston, senior vice president of international licensing at ViacomCBS consumer products, said that the collection was the perfect way to celebrate MTV’s musical legacy.
“Bringing this collection to life was truly a collaborative effort and embodies the foundations of what MTV represents – music, passion, and lifestyle. What better way to honour four decades of MTV,” Kingston said.
Cotton On’s Guy Cortis, meanwhile, said the collection will speak to music and fashion lovers.
“We are so excited to be launching a Global MTV Collaboration that celebrates 40 years of MTV as well as our renowned music license roster that Cotton On is globally recognised for,” Cortis said.
“Across graphic tees, fleece, sleep and accessories, this collection speaks to the music and fashion lovers with a touch of nostalgia, commemorating just how much MTV has influenced the lives of many.”
MTV and Cotton On are also promoting the collaboration via a prize giveaway, with five party packs worth $1,200 up for grabs.
