Morgan Evans shines bright with Most Added title for ‘Diamonds’

Country-pop crossovers continue to dominate Australian radio playlists, with Morgan Evans taking out this week’s Most Added To Radio crown.

The Aussie’s latest release ‘Diamonds’ is his second single of 2019, and first from an as-yet-untitled third studio album. It’s the second country track in the last month after Dan + Shay & Justin Bieber’s ‘10,000 Hours’ to be Most Added.

The victory also follows Marshmello’s chart-topping foray into the country genre, with his Kane Brown collab ‘One Thing Right’ ascending the summit of the TMN Hot 100 powered by Radio Monitor last week.

‘Diamonds’ was adopted by the Hit Network as a national addition, gained support from all five Nova stations, and with Grant CHR adding across the board, Evans had more than enough legs to stroll across the finish line.

New single from Meduza, Becky Hill & Goodboys, ‘Lose Control’, gained Nova’s support and a Hit Regional addition to take second spot.

The top five was rounded out by the latest release from Ultra-signed duo Sofi Tukker, with a Hit Network Nights addition following a previous week’s add to triple j for ‘Purple Hat’.

‘Diamonds’ is the highest debut on the TMN Hot 100 this week, with a bow at #54. The tune also lands at #41 on the TMN Country Hot 50 in its first charting week.
