Melb promoter looking to sell $375K festival ticket

Melbourne promoter Dagger Wolf has put together a $375,000 ticket for the inaugural The Bureau festival, aimed at international guests.

The ticket buyer will be flown in to Melbourne via private jet with 10 friends to catch headliners The Temptations, C+C Music Factory and Charles Bradley, plus local acts Saskwatch, Pseudo Echo, Andy Bull and Asta, from a VIP corporate marquee. The Royal Pass holders be staying at Crown Towers and will be transported viaSUVs and Mercedes-Benz vans. They’ll also receive 24-hour concierge support.

After the festival at Sidney Myer Music Bowl on December 11 they’ll be treated to a private booth at Ms. Collins. The following day they’ll be taken on a helicopter tour of the Yarra Valley, including lunch at Yering Station, along with a dinner at a premium Melbourne restaurant. Before heading home the group of 10 will be taken on a “VIP shopping tour”, and taken for cocktails with a premium package at Bond Bar.

With his promotions company Dagger Wolf Bureau, Wolf operates out of Vietnam and Melbourne, putting on events like Danang Music Festival in May and The People’s Market in Collingwood n August.

Speaking to TMN, Wolf said the company deals with high net worth clients and major Vietnamese businesses.

“Within the South-East Asian markets, there are a number of high net worth clients that we currently work with, looking for a one of a kind extravagant package such as this,” he said.

Dagger Wolf Bureau is also staging Swedish duo Axwell / Ingrossothe day prior to The Bureau on December 10 in Ho Chi Minh City. It’s selling a similar Royal Pass ticket for 10 people for around AU$345,000.

“We felt we could create a great alignment with the festival we are hosting in Vietnam on Dec 10 and the Bureau festival on Dec 11th,” he added. “We have a lot of support from major Vietnamese businesses looking at hosting their clients in a one-off experience.”

First release tickets for The Bureau sold out on October 29; organisers told TMN the percentage of sold General Admission tickets is roughly 10%, with most offline tickets – including corporate packages – now sold.

Organisers also told TMN if “all goes well” at the inaugural Bureau next month, they have plans to take it across the Eastern seaboard in 2016.
