Platinum selling, APRA, Billboard, Grammy and 4 x ARIA winning writer and producer M-Phazes has signed to Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

The deal coincides with the artist taking out two wins at this week’s 36th APRA Awards in Sydney.

They were for Urban Work Of The Year with Illy for ‘Catch 22’ ft. Anne-Marie and Pop Work Of The Year with Amy Shark for ‘Adore’.

Denis Handlin AO, Chairman & CEO, Australia & New Zealand and President, Asia says: “I am thrilled to welcome M-Phazes to the Sony Music family.

“It’s an exciting time to watch this incredibly talented producer go from strength to strength in his career, with an international presence and multiple accolades already under his belt, we couldn’t be happier to help him continue to reach new heights.”

M-Phazes adds, “I’m beyond excited to be working with Denis Handlin and the amazing team at Sony!

“I have been holding onto new music for a long time and cannot wait to share it with the world.”

M-Phazes, created by Mark Landon, has collaborated with a stellar line-up of artists that includes Eminem, Madonna, Zara Larsson, Kimbra, Lupe Fiasco, Logic, Illy, Daniel Johns, Guy Sebastian, Amy Shark and more.

Growing up in a musical family, Landon grew up listening to a wide variety of music.

But he first made his presence felt in hip-hop and urban before expanding to pop.

Being placed on Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2 in 2013 saw him scoop a 2 x platinum plaque as well as Grammy and Billboard awards winners.

He also achieved platinum success with Illy’s ‘Tightrope’ and Bliss n Eso’s album Circles In The Sky, and gold for Illy’s album Cinematic.

Most recently he’s been working with 15-year-old Australian Ruel, who’s already started to make international in-roads (including acclaim from Sir Elton John) and was recently signed to Sony Music’s imprint RCA Records in the US.

2018 will see the release of new music from M-Phazes, collaborating with what Sony Music calls “some of the biggest names in the industry.”
