Lorde heading back into the studio with Joel Little
Joel Little, the Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter behind Lorde’s debut LP Pure Heroine, is heading back into the studio with the now ubiquitous artist “within the next month.”
Speaking to triple j Music Director Richard Kingsmill last night, Little said: "Within the next month or so we'll be in the studio.
"That's the plan, basically. We're just going to start writing some songs. We haven't got some planned out 'this is what it's going to sound like'… I think we're just going to start writing and when it starts to feel right, we'll know that it's right. It's pretty simple really."
Since working on Lorde’s debut album, which earned Little four international and local awards and fellow New Zealander Lorde a total of 29, Little has leant his writing, producing and engineering chops to acts like Sam Smith, Broods, Priory, Elliphant, Tim Omaji (Timomatic) Jarryd James and most recently Daniel Johns, for two tracks from his comeback EP Aerial Love.
