Live Nation inks deal for traveling music fans
Live Nation Australia and New Zealand has entered a multi-year partnership with Flight Centre.
The promoter giant and the travel conglomerate will offer music fans exclusive travel packages to Live Nation-promoted concerts and events across Australia and New Zealand. Flight Centre can combine airfares, accommodation and car hire with preferential access to tickets and VIP concert experience.

The agreement adds to Live Nation ANZ’s stable of partnerships, including Telstra, National Australia Bank, Spark, American Express, Europcar and Hilton Hotels and Resorts.
As with all the partnerships Live Nation ANZ has inked since 2013,mixitup Australia, a Live Nation ANZ joint-venture company, brokered the deal.
Greg Segal, managing director of mixitup Australia said 25% of guests “self-package” and travel from overseas, interstate or intrastate to attend concerts.“The Flight Centre partnership allows us to deliver the best all-around travel and entertainment experiences for these guests,” he said. “We are very excited to unlock the travel and tourism opportunities across our special events, concerts and festivals with Flight Centre.”

After promoting top global tours from the likes of Beyoncé, Coldplay, Guns N’ Roses, Rihanna and Drake, Live Nation topped Pollstar’s 2016 half-year rankings list. Announced last month, the promoter sold a total of 14,935,322 tickets during the period. AEG came in second with 6,966,853 tickets sold.
