Live Nation Australia Acquires Face to Face Touring

Live Nation continues to build its presence and reach across Australia, this time through the acquisition of Face to Face Touring.

Announced Monday, Dec. 11, Live Nation will provide the Face to Face team with global resources and industry knowledge to “expand their offering, resulting in a more diverse portfolio of shows and music,” reads a statement from LN, “while providing artists with greater unique opportunities to connect with fans across Australia.”

Financial terms of the arrangement — which is characterised as a partnership — were not disclosed.

Based in Perth and operating offices in Ballarat, regional Victoria, Face To Face Touring “delivers another set of important operating points for Live Nation,” the statement continues.

Face To Face Touring is itself the product of a merger, the amalgamation of Zaccaria Concerts, led by promoter and founder John Zaccaria; and Touring and Regional Touring Event Enterprises, led by promoter and founder Duane McDonald.

Its portfolio includes live music brands Red Hot Summer Tour, SummerSalt, By The C, Castaway, Live in The Vines, One Electric Day, Sydney Spiegeltent, and the new Lookout Festival.

Over time, Face To Face has worked with the likes of Cold Chisel, Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham, Nile Rogers & CHIC, Tina Arena, The Teskey Brothers, Tame Impala, RUFUS DU SOL and more.

“By bringing together our companies to form Face to Face Touring we are creating a strong platform for growth,” Zaccaria comments.

“Our combined brands and businesses mean increased scale and relevance both in Australia and internationally.”

Adds McDonald, “We are thrilled with the unique opportunities this partnership will create for fans, as well as our employees, contractors, and business partners.”

Going forward, he continues, “there will continue to be a strong focus on delivering the high quality of artists and concert experiences that fans love, with the backing of the world’s leading promoter and live entertainment company.”

LN’s portfolio in these parts includes event organiser Secret Sounds, JV talent agency Cult Artists, and venues Festival Hall and The Palais Theatre in Melbourne, the Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane, the Hindley Street Music Hall in Adelaide and Anita’s Theatre, a historic venue in Thirroul, a northern seaside suburb of Wollongong, which in 2022 became LN’s first entry into the regions.
