Kyle and Jackie O win top award at ACRAs

The Kyle and Jackie O Show won Best On-Air Team (Metro FM) at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards over the weekend. This is the fourth time the duo have picked up the top prize, with wins in 2006, 2007 and 2011. The show also won its fiftieth consecutive ratings survey last month. The show’s producer, Gemma O’Neill, won Best Show Producer (Entertainment/Music).

Melbourne 3AW’s top rating breakfast team, Ross Stevenson and John Burns, won Best On-Air Team (Metro AM), after picking up the honour once before in 2011.

Elsewhere, Nova’s Sydney breakfast team, Fitzy and Wippa picked up three gongs: Best Networked Program: Best of Fitzy & Wippa, Best Station Produced Comedy Segment: Cookie Jars Parody, and Best Multimedia Execution, for a series of song parodies.
