KLP inks global publishing deal with BMG

BMG has announced the signing of Sydney musician, DJ and radio host KLP to a global publishing deal.

Real name Kristy Lee Peters, KLP is a multi-talented gem of the Aussie music scene, hosting triple j’s House Party every Saturday in between writing and recording her own music, co-writing for other musicians, and collaborating with locals and internationals.

2017 saw a steady string of big releases from KLP, with ’Changes’, ’Melt’ and ’Never Be The Same’ all dropping, while her 2016 tune ’Ember’ ticked over 1.5 million streams on Spotify. She also co-wrote ’Take Me’ from Slumberjack’s EPFracture.

In 2018 we can expect more of the same, as well as a feature on What So Not’s forthcoming debut album alongside Skrillex, and on US bass artist Snail’s cut ’Forever’.

“Kristy is one of the most talented and hardest working songwriters in Australia. She can engage in songwriting sessions as an artist, topliner and/or producer,” said BMG Australia managing director Heath Johns.

“This rare versatility puts her in an incredible position to take advantage of the unique possibilities and global opportunities that come with being a part of the BMG family.”

ANZ), Dead Letter Circus, Nicole Millar, Wave Racer andThe Cat Empire.
