Adam Spencer finished up his 8-year run as host of 702 ABC Breakfast last week.

“It’s been an absolute thrill, an incredible ride and a privilege to host the 702 Breakfast Show. You’re always going to miss it when it is gone but now feels right.

“I’m also going to miss the audience and my colleagues but I’m looking forward to new opportunities, and life outside the ABC including spending more time with family, friends, and other community interests.”

After 14 years of breakfast shifts with triple j and 702 ABC he says he is looking forward to “kicking back with Alex Ferguson, Barbara Walters and Ricky Ponting on a beach somewhere. I’ll be the one holding their towels!”

He says he’ll continue to be the “public champ of maths and science” and to focus on his charity work. He is also looking forward to spending more time on the sidelines of his daughter’s soccer games, and to fine tune his new passion of playing the guitar. READ MORE
