Justin Timberlake introduces “Outside In” augmented reality experience
Justin Timberlake has extended his Man of Woods album and world tour with a new augmented reality experience app.
Called Outside In and in partnership with America Express, it takes fans on different journeys behind songs on the record while Timberlake is in the same room as their personal guide and explaining the themes.
For instance, the song ‘Breeze Off the Pond’ takes fans to a virtual state of Montana where they can explore its mountain scenery and shop for Man of the Woods merchandise.
Timberlake explained in a statement: “The first-of-its-kind, mixed reality experience uses cutting-edge technology to bring me directly to my fans; walk them through the concept of my new album and provide access to purchase specially designed merch in collaboration with Levi’s, Heron Preston, Ryan McGinley and more.”
Outside In is available now on the American Express Music App and new products will be added to merchandise feature every week.
Earlier the singer and the card company collaborated on giving his fans and card members exclusive previews of the album.
