Josh Pyke inks worldwide deal with Embassy Music Publishing

Embassy Music Publishing has announced a global deal with Josh Pyke for his latest album Rome.

The Aussie singer-songwriter released Rome today (August 28), his sixth studio album.

“Josh is one of Australia’s most celebrated songwriters and artists and, like a fine wine, he seems to be getting better with age,” Larry Heath, A&R manager for Embassy Music Publishing/Wise Music, said.

“I’ve had the pleasure of having Rome on my desk for a short while now and I’m keen to agree with the sentiment that this is his best album yet.

“There’s a lyric in there for everyone – and (in typical Pyke fashion) plenty of melodies to get stuck in your head for days. We’re thrilled to be working with Josh and his team on this release.”

Pyke is a four-time ARIA winner and has reach the ARIA Albums Chart Top 10 with every album he has released to date, while four have cracked the Top 5.

His highest charting album to date was 2015’s But For All These Drinking Hearts which made it to #2 on the chart in a six-week stint.

“I’m thrilled to bring the Embassy Music Publishing team on board as we celebrate the release of the new album, and to sit alongside such illustrious company,” Pyke said.

“Their long term vision for the record, both domestically and internationally, is one that has us all excited for the potential for ROME – one which I hope to get heard by as many fans – new and old – around the world as possible.”

Embassy Music Publishing is part of the Wise Music Group, and their Australian managing director Jane English called Josh a “superbly talented songwriter, as his many awards, sales, plays, streams and followers attest.

“We love his songs on Rome and are super happy to be representing them on a global basis.”
