Sync Watch: Kmart calls on Aussie artist Jerome Farrah for Christmas campaign
With Christmas just two months away, brands across the country are gearing up to get Australians spending this festive season.
As part of the early Christmas push, retailing giant Kmart has released its campaign, which features Jerome Farrah’s rework of Stevie Wonder’s ‘One Little Christmas Tree’.
The campaign was created by agency DDB Melbourne, with music by Level Two Music.
DDB Melbourne’s executive creative director, Psembi Kinstan, said the tune is a hit.
“Kmart is an Aladdin’s cave of surprises and amazing products throughout the year, but especially at Christmas,” Kinstan added.
“Stef [Hunt] and the team [at Exit Films] have done a great job showing what those Kmart products can enable in our homes and lives simply, colourfully, and joyfully this Christmas.”
Kmart’s chief customer officer, Lil Velis, said the campaign celebrates the brand’s purpose of making everyday liver brighter.
“This Christmas, we want to create a deeper connection with our customers by celebrating what makes each of us unique and the community connection that bonds us all,” Velis added.
The campaign launched over the weekend and will run across TV, cinema, out of home, radio, online and social until Christmas Day.
