Jaxsta recruits ex-Warner Music exec Alli Galloway

Jaxsta adds another important piece to its team with the appointment of former Warner Music Australia executive Alli Galloway.

With effect from Monday (Sept. 20), Galloway will serve as Jaxsta’s Head Of Audience and Creative, based in the company’s Sydney offices.

At Jaxsta, Galloway will spearhead audience growth strategy, and oversee communications with members to ensure the business delivers “exactly what our global community of music creatives and industry professionals value and need,” reads a statement.

Previously, Alli was Senior Audience & Channel Manager at Warner Music Australia, where she relaunched the WMA website and oversaw the strategic growth of media brands like I Like Your Old Stuff, Maniacs, Cool Accidents and the music giant’s direct channels.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the skilled and passionate Jaxsta family,” Galloway comments.

“To have the opportunity to apply my knowledge and enthusiasm for growing audiences through exceptional creative and content within this team is a dream come true.”

She continues, “I believe Jaxsta provides the highest standard music database in the world, and that every artist, musician, producer, writer and song contributor should and will be using this incredible platform.”

Jaxsta’s newest recruit will be reunited with former Warner Music colleague Beth Appleton.

Galloway reports to Appleton, who joined the official music credits platform in July from WMA, where she was General Manager and Senior Vice President Marketing Australasia.

“Jaxsta’s membership is growing daily and we have a tunnel vision on ensuring that we meet the needs of our membership,” comments Jacqui Louez Schoorl, Jaxsta’s CEO and Co-Founder.

Galloway joining Appleton’s team, she adds, is “another proud moment as we continue to grow our Olympic team.”

Galloway is a music all-rounder with over 20 years’ experience on multiple continents, including a 10-year stint in the U.K.

During her time in London, Galloway’s career flourished. She worked as a promoter and agent, representing artists for all touring and festival planning; helmed her own radio show; and founded the alternative rock band, Headless Prom Queens, which played shows on both sides of the Atlantic.

A return home beckoned in 2013, after which Galloway took on strategic positions as Head of Artist & Label Marketing at Jaden Digital, and Marketing Manager at Social Family Records.
